Partly. The free part is real, but it covers only the opening of each series. Episodes 1 and 2 of nearly every non-Spicy series are free, and episode 1 plays without an account. Episode 2 needs a free account, with no card. Spicy titles and everything from episode 3 need Premium and tokens. The plans page lists no free trial, so the free account is the free part.
What is free, episode by episode
Candy Shorts free means the opening two episodes of nearly every non-Spicy series. I counted across the catalog to check the rule. There are 287 free episodes in total, about 299 minutes of runtime, and the average free episode runs about 65 seconds.
The rule is simple enough to remember. Episodes 1 and 2 are free, and episode 3 and up are locked. There are two kinds of exception. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right gives you three free episodes. The Spicy titles give you none, because their first two episodes come with Premium rather than for free.
The free episodes are the setup. They build the premise and the tension, and they end on a cliffhanger that the locked episodes pay off. Two free episodes of a standard title take about two minutes to watch, so the test is cheap. Don’t expect a complete story from them.
Do you need an account, or a card?
No card is needed for any of the free part. Episode 1 of most series plays without an account, so you can judge the premise before you hand over anything. Episode 2 asks for a free account, and that is the only sign-up the free tier needs.
The free account is not Premium. It gives you the free episodes and nothing more. The locked episodes still need Premium and tokens, and the Spicy titles still need Premium before their first episode opens.
If you are deciding whether to create the account, use episode 1 as the test. If the premise doesn’t hook you by the end of it, you have saved yourself a sign-up and a decision.
The card only comes into the picture when you choose a Premium plan. The sign-up itself asks for nothing you need to pay for.
What is not free, and what it takes
Here is the whole answer in one table:
| What you want | Free? | What it takes |
|---|---|---|
| Episode 1 of a standard title | Yes | Nothing, no account |
| Episode 2 of a standard title | Yes | A free account, no card |
| Episode 3 and up, standard titles | No | Premium and 12 tokens per episode |
| Creators titles, episode 3 and up | No | Premium and 30 tokens per episode |
| Any Spicy episode | No | Premium; episodes 1 and 2 are included |
| Generating 18+ images or videos | No | Premium |
The one surprise is Spicy: its first episode is locked, unlike every other series. Everything else follows the same pattern as the table.
The free part costs nothing. Everything else needs Premium, and Premium is the first real price on the site.
Longer series change the math. Caught Between Sisters has 15 episodes, so its locked part is 13 episodes, or 156 tokens at the standard rate. The free part is still the first two.
Is there a free trial of Premium?
The plans page lists no free trial, so the free account is the free part and Premium is a paid subscription from the start. The prices are: annual at $3.99 a month, billed $47.88 for the year, which is 70% off; a three-month plan at $8.99 a month, billed $26.97; and monthly at $13.99. Shorter billing cycles appear too: every two weeks at $9.79, and weekly at $5.60.
Every plan renews automatically at the same price and term until you cancel, and you can cancel in settings at any time. Local taxes can be added on top.
Read the total on the payment screen before you confirm, because local taxes can change the amount. The prices above are the ones listed on the plans page, so check it yourself before you pay.
Premium also lists creating your own AI girlfriend, unlimited text messages and a full live action experience, so the subscription covers more than episodes. None of that is needed to watch the free episodes.
How to get the most from the Candy Shorts free tier
Use the free part as a scouting tool. Five habits help:
- Start with a standard title. Its locked part is cheap at 12 tokens per episode. Under the Chief is five episodes and costs 36 tokens to finish after the free part.
- Watch episode 1 before you open an account. If the premise doesn’t hook you, you have saved a sign-up.
- Use the speed control. Playback runs from 0.5x to 2x, which helps when you are checking a premise quickly.
- Check the tag before you tap. The Spicy tag shows which titles need Premium before you open their first episode.
- Pick one series at a time. Five episodes is a short arc, and the free two set up the locked three.
Finally, watch in order. A cliffhanger only pays off if you have seen the episode that set it up.
If you want to compare series quickly, the tags are the fastest filter. The Taboo tag holds 62 series and the MILF tag holds 44, so they are the biggest groups to browse.
Fake “free full episode” sites and leaks
Searches for Candy Shorts free often lead to sites that promise the full series at no cost. Be careful. Re-posts on Dailymotion, Reddit threads, Telegram groups and sites offering “full free” episodes are re-cut teasers, re-posted free episodes, or scams. Some are malware traps.
Mod APK files that promise unlocked episodes are the worst version. They are unofficial, they come from sources you cannot verify, and they can put malware on your phone. We have not verified any native app store listing for Candy, so treat any file that claims to be one as a trap.
If you want to see what leak searches usually turn up and why it is not worth the risk, read the leaked guide. The only complete, safe version of every episode is on Candy.
A quick check: if a page asks you to download something before an episode plays, close it. Candy’s episodes play in the browser.
What it costs when the free part runs out
When the free part runs out, the cost depends on the series. A standard five-episode title costs 36 tokens for episodes 3 to 5, which fits inside one month of Premium. Creators titles cost 30 tokens per locked episode, so a five-episode Creators series is 90 tokens. Spicy titles cost 30 tokens per locked episode, or 50 on the Spicy Creators titles.
Premium gives you 100 tokens a month. A standard title is covered, a Creators title nearly uses the whole allowance, and a Spicy Creators title needs more than one month. Premium is the first real price on the site; everything after it is tokens.
The annual plan at $3.99 a month is the cheapest way in if you finish more than one series a month. If you only want one series, the smallest single payment on the plans page is the weekly option at $5.60, although it is a recurring charge too.
Under the Chief costs 36 tokens after its free part, so a month’s 100 tokens covers it with 64 to spare.
Who should stay free and who should pay
Stay free if you are sampling. The free tier gives you 287 episodes across the catalog, enough to test many premises before you spend a single token. Two episodes per series is usually enough to know whether a series fits your taste.
Pay when you have already picked a series and want the ending. The annual plan is the right choice for anyone finishing more than one series a month, and the Candy AI pricing guide has the full plan list.
Skip Spicy until you know you want it. It is members-only and gives a guest nothing to test. Creators titles cost more per episode, so pick them on purpose, not by accident.
A useful test: if you can name the series you want to finish, you are ready to pay. If you are still browsing, stay on the free episodes until you can.
