What happens in episode 1
The episode opens after a service in a small church. The new priest is shaking hands, and the congregation is glad to have him. Mica thanks him for the sermon and says it was inspiring, especially the part about resisting temptation. Her tone is friendly, and the teasing sits in the timing.
Then she asks for confession. The priest listens, and she gives him her sin straight away: she has been having impure thoughts about her new priest. The scene is built on that one line and on how fast she says it. He has to respond, and he does not get much room to think.
The episode is short, under a minute, and it keeps the frame tight. Everything happens in the church and in the confession, and there is no side plot in the free part. The dialogue does the work, and it is frank without going explicit.
