What happens in episode 1
Here the evening collapses before it starts. Dinner has been called off, dad is stuck at work until late, and the stepson is left at home with his stepmom on a Friday.
She appears in a red dress, and the stepson loses his train of thought. He privately confesses that her posters have hung over his bed for years, so seeing her in person is a shock to the system.
The house gets its moments. A phone call ends abruptly, a comment about thin walls makes it clear she caught more of his conversation than he wanted, and she offers him a closer look at the outfit.
He says he should not, and she plays along. The episode closes by asking whether he plans to follow her, then telling him to step inside without hesitation.
