Niko is the boyfriend whose business goes under. The subtitles name him, and he is the one with the declined card. His best friend, who picks up the check and is offered the guest room, is never named in the free episodes. He comes across as steady, the one who pays without making a fuss, and the premise leans on that.

My verdict: this is the sharpest premise I have logged in the free episodes, built on money, pride and a friendship on the line. It suits you if you like tension that builds through conversation and a lead who sets the pace. It is a weak fit if you want a long run, since five episodes is a short story and three of them are locked.

If you already pay for Premium, the 36 tokens are a simple call. If you don’t, the two free episodes are enough to decide.

For a sense of scale, Caught Between Sisters runs 15 episodes and costs 156 tokens to finish. This one is a short, cheap run by comparison, with a lead who holds the power from the start. If you enjoy a story with a clear power shift, it is worth the 36 tokens. If you need a warm, slow romance, it is not.
