What happens in episode 1
The Anniversary Massage opens with a gift. A wife books her husband a 90-minute massage at home for their anniversary, then says she is working in the next room. Dan is not sure what to make of it. The masseuse is Veronica, and her first questions are practical: any injuries, what kind of pressure he likes, whether he has ever had a professional session before.
Veronica is good at her job, and she is curious about him. She picks up that he is hard to relax, he says difficult, not hard, and she takes that as a challenge. The talk moves from his shoulders to a bit of teasing. Dan asks whether his wife is having one too, and the answer is just him, so the session carries on.
The episode closes with a request. Veronica tells him to put something on and nothing else, and the scene cuts before anything else happens. It is a quick first episode, about a minute of screen time, and it is built to make you want the second.
