What happens in episode 1
Episode 1 is set on the morning of the wedding. The groom wants to come in, but the bride has said no, because it is bad luck to see her before the ceremony. Her younger sister, Mila, 21, is the maid of honor, and she is the one who takes over the moment.
She tells him she has wanted him since the day he met her sister. He reminds her that he is getting married, and she answers that she knows, with two hours to go. She is direct about what she wants.
The episode is short and close, mostly talk through a door and along a hallway. It does not show the ceremony. What it does is set the rules of the series: the deadline is set, the feelings are out in the open, and she asks for one moment before he says “I do.” That closing request is the question the rest of the series has to answer.
