What happens in episode 2
Episode 2 starts with Veronica calling him out for being late and saying she is ready to go again. The stepson refuses, and he reminds her that he has a girlfriend and that she is his father’s wife.
The next morning the rules have moved on. Veronica greets him and asks how he slept, and the robe she is wearing is part of the point. She introduces a fourth rule: he does not pretend he did not hear her the night before. He says the two of them should not be doing this, and he tells her so directly.
The girlfriend is close by. She calls out that she is here, and she is waiting outside the house while the two of them argue.
